Dow LewisDOW, Carroll 'Lewis' CWO (ret) MMM. CD - (33 years of service with Canadian Armed Forces, enlisting at Kingston in RCEME and finishing as a CWO at National Defence Headquarters, Ottawa, serving in Gagetown, Middle East for two tours, Germany for two tours, Calgary and Kingston)

Born August 11, 1934 in Dow Settlement, New Brunswick, passed peacefully April 3, 2017 at St. Mary’s of the Lake, Kingston.

Beloved husband for 58 years of Carolyn Shirley (Cummings). Dear brother of Rowena Dow of Prince George BC and brother-in-law of Vincent Cummings of Saint John, NB.

Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Beatrice Dow, sisters Madeline Cummings, Bertha Rickard, Blanche Mazerolle, brother, Dennis Dow and mother-in-law Ethel Cummings and father-in-law Waldo Cummings. Dearly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families. 

In his retirement, Lewis enjoyed spending time at the cottage with his wife, as well as cutting wood from his wood lot.

A special thank you to the Doctors and staff of St. Mary’s of the Lake Hospital for their dedicated care.

Family and friends will gather at the GORDON F. TOMPKINS FUNERAL HOME, 435 Davis Drive, Kingston on Friday, April 7th from 1:00 p.m. until the Celebration Service in Our Chapel at 3:00 p.m. His urn will be interred at the Lower Meductic Cemetery in New Brunswick at a later date. 

For those wishing, donations to the UHKF Palliative Care of St. Mary’s of the Lake would be appreciated by his family.
