Gilroy EileenGILROY, Mary 'Eileen' Gilroy (Gunness) - Peacefully at Maple View Lodge Athens, surrounded by her loving family, on Sunday April 16th, 2017. The former Eileen Gunness at the age of 92 years.

Beloved wife of the late John Waldo Gilroy.

Dear mother of Thomas Gilroy (Sheila) of Newmarket, Peggy Mitten (John) of Athens, Charlotte Marangon (Larry) of Oshawa and Terry Gilroy (Sara) of Enniskillen. Foster mother to Bill Taggart (Juanita) of Lyndhurst and Jimmy Taggart of St. Lawrence Lodge, Brockville.

Predeceased by a son Billy Gilroy (1965).

Special grandmother to 15 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

Sister of Erma Ferguson of Jasper. Predeceased by 4 brothers and 4 sisters, William, James, Cecil, and Raymond Gunness, Lula Townsend, Betty Tarlington, Elva Clarke and Frances Bennett. Eileen will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Christ Church, Athens, on Monday April 17th, from 1-2 p.m. A Celebration of Eileen’s life will be held at 2 p.m. at Christ Church. Private family interment will be held at Oakland Cemetery, Brockville.

In memoriams to Christ Church Athens, or Maple View Lodge Auxiliary will be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Arrangements entrusted with Judson funeral home, Athens.
