Golemiec JohnGOLEMIEC, John Thomas - (April 16, 1935 - July 8, 2017) -

A proud member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Paul the Apostle.

Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on April 16, 1935. John was in the Military for 24 years, a proud member of the Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment). He was a graduate of the Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario.

Following his military career he worked for Correctional Services Canada as a Living Unit Officer (Joyceville Institution), instructor (Staff College) and Correctional Supervisor (Frontenac Institution).

John was loved by all who knew him, especially his family. He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren and siblings.

A private Graveside Service will take place at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements entrusted with Gordon F. Tompkins funeral homes, Kingston.

A special thank you to the all the staff and care team at Providence Manor for their dedication and compassion.
