For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

BAKER, Dorothy Verna (nee Denison) - Passed away at The John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 in her 89th year.

Predeceased by her cherished husband Ellswood Baker and parents George and Edna Denison.

Dorothy will be lovingly remembered by her siblings; Ted (Audrey) Denison, Reta (Bud) Jackson, Dan Denison and Jim (Susan) Denison, Predeceased by her brothers Donald, Frederick and Maurice and sister Ruth.

Fondly adored by her many nieces and nephews and brother and sister-in-laws Ercel Baker and late Audrey Cook.

The family will receive friends at the Wartman Funeral Home - Napanee Chapel on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from 6-8 pm and on Friday from 10-11 with the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11: 00 am. Interment Capital Memorial Gardens, Ottawa.

Friends desiring may contribute by cheque or credit card to The John M. Parrott Centre or Grace United Church.
