Beloved husband of Doreen (Hodgson) and the late Thelma Osborne. Devoted father of Lynn (Osborne-Way), Robyn (Doug Huras) and Bayne; proud grandfather of Erin Way.

Survived by Doreen’s children Angela (Ron Mudd) and Bruce Hodgson. Sid will be greatly missed by his family in Nova Scotia. 

 

Geertsma EbelGEERTSEMA, Ebel - Peacefully passed away on Monday February 20, 2017 at age 89.

Beloved husband of 66 years to Elizabeth. Loving father of Jan (MaryAnn), Peter (Grace), Gwenda (Laurisse Huijer), Patricia, Mark (Tanya). He was the proud grandfather of his 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his extended family.

Beloved son of Jo-Ann MacLean (Kevin) of Napanee, and Shawn Earl (Shannon) of Brockville. Best friend and brother of Taylor of Napanee, Adrianna MacLean of Napanee and step brother of Calvin Brown of Brockville.

Grandson of Duane Earl of Brockville; and the late Diane Earl and the late Jean and James Towe.

Fondly remembered by Barton & Barb MacLean; his many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and his canine friends Zeus and Cronus.

 

McAllister WayneMcALLISTER, Wayne Anthony - (June 10, 1956 - February 20, 2017) - Peacefully, at the Kingston General Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.

Dear father of Carrick (Tara) of Kingston, and Anthony (Florence) of Toronto. Cherished grandfather to Zachary.

Beloved son of the late James and Julia (nee Greenwood) McAllister. Wayne will live on in the hearts of his sisters and brothers; Leon (Michiele) of Calgary, Janet Martin (Albert) of Wolfe Island, Elaine Janzer (James) of Wolfe Island, Rob (Kathyrn) of Kingston, Karl (Joanne) of Glenburnie, and Joseph (Catherine) of Kingston. Predeceased by his sister and brother; Marion Tuttle and James (Mickey) McAllister.

 

BROWN, Betty - (February 5, 1943 - February 19, 2017) - Peacefully, at the Lennox & Addington General Hospital in Napanee on Sunday, February 19, 2017.

Loving wife of 45 years to Gene Brown of Cloyne. Dear mother of Julie Brown (Dwayne Torrens) of Orono and Douglas Brown of Cloyne. Grandma will always be cherished in the hearts of her grandchildren Quentin & Kaylie Brown.

Betty will be sadly missed by her brother Gary (Debbie) Lessard of Kingston. Fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends.

 

Winter EvelynWINTER, Evelyn Alice Anna Margaret (nee McQuade) - Passed away with family by her side, at the Brockville General Hospital on Sunday February 19, 2017. Evelyn Alice Anna Margaret Winter (nee McQuade) of Athens, formerly of Brockville, aged 92 years.

Loving mother to Lynn Morrison of Athens and Marion Roden (James ) of Newcastle. Proud grandmother of Vicki-Lynn Leith (Graham) of Houston, Texas. Evelyn is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by her parents Alfred and Lillian (Knott) McQuade and siblings Lilian Capes and Herbert McQuade.

 

KELLY, Dorothy Edith (Beavis) - Peacefully at Extendicare, on Sunday, February 19, 2017, in her 81st year.

Predeceased by her parents, Harold and Lydia Beavis, and her sister, Jean Metcalfe (Victor). Loving sister of Chuck Beavis (Betty), George Beavis (Judy) and Eileen Nador (John). Special aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Beloved husband of Joanne (nee VanLier) and dear father of Leon (Sandra) Vandervalk, Anita Ostrander (Steve) and Michelle Vandervalk (Brian).

Fondly remembered by his grandchildren Allison Chamberlin (Josh), William Vandervalk, Corrie and Josh Ostrander.

 

Offord DonOFFORD, Donald Elwood 'Don'  - Passed away peacefully, at the L&A County General Hospital, on February 18, 2017 in his 72nd year, after a brief battle with cancer. Donald Elwood Offord of Napanee.

He was the son of Marion & the late Gordon Offord. Survived by his partner, Cathy Warner, his daughter Melissa (Gilbert) and his sister Pauline Berchervaise (late John), late Paula and brother Dale.

Peacefully at Kingston General Hospital on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at age of 83.

Predeceased by his wife Shirley Marie (Pitt), parents Thomas and Marjorie Burke. Father of Robin (Sudbury, ON) and Brian and his wife France (Kelowna, B.C.). Grandfather of Thomas, Nathan, Kristopher, Colin and Paige.

 

Farr MargaretFARR, Margaret Florence (nee Innes) - (December 21, 1913 – February 18, 2017) - After 103 full years “the phoenix” has flown. Margaret slipped away peacefully with Maureen beside her at Rideaucrest Home in Kingston.

Margaret will be dearly missed by daughter Maureen Farr-Eagan, son-in-law, Bob Hotrum, grandson, David Eagan, great grandson, Xylo Eagan-MacKinnon, step grand-daughters, Erin Hotrum & Amanda Hotrum (Charles Pullen), step great grandchildren, Effie & Izzy, nieces Anne McLaughlin & Heather Frost and many friends.

Born in Moose Jaw, Sask., Margaret was the only child of James and Florence Innes (nee Masters). Margaret loved her job as a secretary in the Regina Legislature. In 1939, she married William Farr (1915-1992), who became a Sears executive. Her dear son, Murray Farr (1942-1992) had an exciting life as an impresario.

 

Gorman BarryGORMAN, Barry E. - Passed away peacefully, at Kingston General Hospital, with his family by his side on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 at 67 years old. 

Beloved husband and father, and a brilliant academic and geological engineer. A kind and thoughtful gentleman, with a keen sense of humour until the end.

Dearly loved and forever will be missed by his devoted wife Claire, his son Darwin, his daughter Claude (Jason), his brother Gerry (Dara), and his other loving relatives. Predeceased by his parents Paul and Gertrude.

 

Duncan AndrewDUNCAN, Andrew James - (May 15, 1956 - February 18, 2017) - Passed away suddenly at home.

Andrew was the son of Barbara E. Duncan (nee Hawkins) and the late James E. Duncan. He will be sadly missed by sister Terry Matthews, niece Elsbeth (Kevin) and nephews Ian (Shannon) and Ethan, all of Dartmouth, NS.

Andy was a longtime employee of Queen’s University.

Andy was well known for his devotion to his dog family - all Labrador Retrievers. Andy’s friendly smile made good friends wherever he went.

Dear father of Kevin and Jody. Survived by his sisters Sharon, Barb, Pam, and niece Michelle. Mike will be resting peacefully with his brother Alfie, his parents Alfie and Olive, sisters Connie and Joan, and dear friend Bernie. “Weiner is missing his Best Bud Mike.”

 

Lloyd LindaLLOYD, Linda Ann - Napanee, ON – It is with sadness that the family and friends of Linda Ann Lloyd announces her unexpected passing at the age of 60 at Kingston General Hospital on Friday, February 17, 2017.

Born August 18, 1956 in Bath, NB, Linda moved with her family in 1969 to Bowmanville, ON and resided at the Rideau Regional Centre in Smiths Falls, ON from 1970 to January, 2008 when she moved to Ongwanada's Church St. residence in Napanee. Here she received loving care and support from the staff of this wonderful organization.

Linda is the eldest daughter of the late Jasper and Luella (Broad) Lloyd.

 

OOSTROM, Hendricus Martinus 'Henry' - Peacefully, at the John M. Parrott Centre, Napanee, on Friday, February 17th, 2017 in his 82nd year, Henry left us to join his twin brother Jake.

Henry was born in the Netherlands, son of the late Cornelius and Hendrika Oostrom, and immigrated to Canada with his family in 1952.

Dear father of Yvonne Ketcheson (Robert), Michelle Young (Al) and Susan Nash (Paul). Grandfather of 8 and great-grandfather of 2.

Brother of John (Sigi), Adrian (Kathryn), Clara, Marie (Marvin), Rika, Cornelius (Jean), Wim (Joanne) and Karl (Anne) and brother-in-law of Sharon, Savino and Judi. Predeceased by his brothers Martin, Tony, Jake, his sister Ann and brother-in-law Warren.

Roney BillRONEY, Adam William 'Bill' - (July 21, 1938 - February 16, 2017) -

Bill was born at Royal Victoria Hospital, Montreal; the son of Gerald VanLuven Roney Sr. and Kathleen Cecilia McNamee.. He was predeceased by his brother Gordon Frederick Roney, and by sister-in-law Marian (MacMillan).

Bill is survived by his brother Gerald Jr., nephews Michael (Sandy), Stephen (Vaneza), Gerald III, Chris (Tammy); niece Diana (Gerard Gaudet); and six grand-nephews and grand-nieces.

Mentally disadvantaged from a difficult childbirth, Bill was destined to remain a child for life, albeit a generally happy one.

 

Dundon MaryDUNDON, Mary Eileen - (January 15, 1933 - February 16, 2017) -After a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by family, Mary went to join her beloved Adam.

She was the loving mother to her three children, Bill, Paul and Beth. Also to her very caring Daughter -in-law Rhonda Taylor Dundon. She was a devoted Nana to Justin, Taryn, Jenna and Abby.

She was the "favourite Aunt" to her nieces and nephews. Mary was a Great Aunt, Great Great Aunt and a Great Great Great Aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by her three brothers and only sister, Wilhemina Osborne.

 

MacDONALD, Gordon Milburn - Passed away peacefully at Rideaucrest Home on Thursday, February 16, 2017 in his 96th year.

Beloved husband of the late Ida MacDonald (nee Plant).

Loving father of Brenda McKeown (Doug). He will remembered by granddaughters Pam (Wayne), Julie (Ettore); great-grandchildren Jordan, Madeline, Lauren, Graham, Katelyn and Ava-Lyn. Survived by his sister Phyllis McMartin and sister-in-law Isabel MacDonald.

Predeceased by his parents Ernest and Mina MacDonald and brothers Stanley, Kenneth and Fraser.
