Cherished grandfather of Joseph (Sandra), Amanda (Corey), Joel (Melindy) and Jordan (Emily). Great grandfather of Staisha, Draven, Harleigh, Harlow, Jaden and Kaylee.

Brother of Mike (Donna), Brenda (Louie) and Diane (the late Ron). He will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his beloved dog Jake.


Murray RobertMURRAY, Robert James 'Bob' - (March 27, 1935 - August 14, 2017) - Bob passed away on August 14, 2017 with dignity and respect.

Bob was a part of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and was a member of the Vimy Band, Air Transport Command Band and CFB Chilliwack Band.

After a 30-year career in the military, Bob was involved in developing the LaSalle Seniors’ Band and was a charter member of the LaSalle Causeway Swing Band. He was always ready to play Last Post for other comrades. He recently received a commendation from the city of Kingston for his many years of playing Last Post at the Cross of Sacrifice for Remembrance Day Services. With his trumpet, his services spanned the 1967 Olympics, numerous tours and installation of the “Jimmy” at the Vimy Gate.


DONNELLY, Sr. Aileen - (Sr. M. Frances of Rome) - Of the Sisters of Providence of St. Vincent de Paul, died peacefully on August 13, 2017 at Providence Motherhouse, Kingston in her 82nd year of religious life.

Born in MacLeod, Alberta on August 7, 1917, Sister Aileen is predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary (Coffey) Donnelly, her sisters, Marjorie Noonan, Christine Hamilton and Evelyn Finn, and her brothers, Patrick, and Francis.

She is survived by her sister, Dorothy Morrissey of Sarnia, Ontario.

BROWN, Richard M. 'Dick' - (1924 - 2017) - Richard M. Brown passed away peacefully on Sunday August 13, 2017.

Dick was born July 23, 1924 in Dundee, NY, the son of Merrill and Inez Brown. He grew up in Penn Yan, was an Eagle Scout with troop #44, played football and track for Penn Yan Academy, played trumpet for the Penn Yan Academy band earning several awards for his outstanding musical talent.

Dick and his friends formed a jazz band known as "Dick Brown and his Orchestra," and played for many school and community functions, performing the Big Band music of the day. He was also a member of the ham radio club where he earned his radio operator|s license.

Bennett VictorBENNETT, Victor Robert - It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of Victor Bennett, beloved husband and father, on August 9, 2017 at the age of 88, in Kingston, Ontario.

Born on December 13, 1928 in St. John’s, Newfoundland, to his parents Sydney and Winifred. Vic’s passion for Newfoundland, aviation, travel and business was surpassed only by his love and devotion for his family, and in particular, the love of his life Constance, and his wife of 62 years.

At the young age of 14, Vic began his first flying lessons. Eight years later he enlisted with the RCAF. The following year he attended McGill University graduating with a business degree and subsequently received a law degree at UBC where he served as President of the Undergraduate Law Society. He relocated to Montreal and began his long and illustrious career in the aviation industry.
