Beloved wife of Robert (Bob) Lamb. Beloved sister of Bessie Penney (Morris), Beatrice Taylor (Valen), Rosie Elliott (Ralph), and Glossen Taylor (Bernice).

Zilda was born in and grew up in Raleigh, NL on the northern tip of the Great Northern Penninsula. There she attended Raliegh public and high schools. She worked first in Goose Bay, Labrador before transferring with her BELL Canada employer to Toronto in 1971. She met and later married her husband Bob, also a Bell employee, in Islington and then remained in the Mississauga area until they both retired in 1997.

Wife of the late John O’Connor. Loving mother of Debbie Godard (Michel) of Perth Road and the late Michael O’Connor. Cherished grandmother Emily and Bridget O’Connor.

Dear sister of Sarah Hough, Mary Golledge (David) and the late Clarence, Harry, Charles and Leslie Brown, Eleanor and Margaret Sargent and Beatrice Davis. Also survived by brother-in-law Reg Davis and many nieces and nephews.

Daughter of the late Clair and Sarah (Ferguson) Brown.

 

Moore GordMOORE, William Alfred 'Gordon' - Peacefully at the Kingston General Hospital on Sunday, February 5, 2017, three days after his 70th birthday.

Gord will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Agnes, and sons Brian (Denise) and Cory (Ellie), and his grandchildren, of whom he was immensely proud, Theiran, Tyson, Taylor and Tristan.

Son of Alfred and the late Marie Moore.

He will missed by his sisters Louise Larone and Sheila Martinello, his nieces, nephews, Shannon Moore, and extended family.

Simon, a much loved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, uncle and friend. Loving, adored and kind, Simon left us suddenly and tragically on Sunday, February 5th, 2017.

Throughout his life, Simon loved learning about everything. One of his favourite topics was astronomy and in particular the writings of Stephen Hawking. He was a well-equipped amateur astronomer who was always looking forward to understanding the universe.

Beloved wife of the late Donald Duncan, and dear mother of David and Karen Murdock (Glen). Fondly remembered by her grandchildren Andrew, Kelly, Shane and Ryan as well as a number of great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her son Jeff and by her parents William and Doris Hurley.

 

Benson HelenBENSON, Helen - Helen Benson, 84, passed away peacefully at home on February 1st, 2017.

She was born in Dalhousie, New Brunswick, Canada on September 4, 1932 to William John and Kathleen (McAllister) Ross. She graduated from Dalhousie High School. On June 29, 1957, Helen married Gary Benson in Dalhousie.

Helen is survived by her husband, Gary; four children, Robert (Tammy) and their children, Matthew and Jacob, Judy (Mike) Fiddler and their child, Crystal, Michael (Judy), and their children, Colby, Haligh, Sarah, Hannah and Catherine, and Harry (Sabrina) and their children, Ty and Jeremy.

She is further survived by one brother, Jim (Evangeline) Ross, other relatives and friends. Helen was preceded in death by her son, Gary John, Jr.
