Doreen was born in Attercliffe, Ontario. She moved to Niagara Falls when she was 8 years old and attended both Simcoe Street Public School and NFCVI. She joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in October 1943 as a Teleprinter. She did Basic Training in Ottawa and was eventually posted to Halifax, NS until November 1945. Doreen was a Veteran having served with the RCAF in WWII.

Irene was an exemplary, elegant woman who pushed the boundaries of convention from an early age. She was a model, an outstanding volunteer, a wise and loving counsel and friend, and a collector of all things beautiful. She enjoyed many special friendships during her life while living in Thunder Bay, Toronto, Moose Jaw, Vancouver, Victoria and Niagara-on-the-Lake.

Ford RonFORD, Ronald Edsyl 'Ron' - Son of Gwendolyn (nee Colborne) and Charles Ford, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the age of 88 years.

Ron grew up in Collingwood, NS sharing a small home with his parents and six siblings. He attended high school in nearby Oxford, NS where he met his future wife, Frances.

After high school, Ron travelled to Hamilton in search of work to earn the money needed to attend university. Through his own efforts and the generous support of a local business owner, Ron was able to attend Mount Allison University graduating with a degree in geology in 1953.
