Smith Robert RipSMITH, Robert Arden 'Rip' - Surrounded by this family, in his 85th year, Robert Arden “Rip” Smith died peacefully on December 7, 2017 at Gilmore Lodge in Fort Erie.

“Rip” was a lifelong resident of Ridgeway and faithful member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley (nee Cummins) and his children, Robert, Lorna Moran (Jeff), & Gail Baglole (Rev. Kevin). He will also be sorely missed by his four grandchildren, Bailey, Paige, Joshua & Hannah.

Lorraine was born in St. Catharines, Ontario and moved to Pickering in 1990 where she was employed at OPG as a Nuclear Operator. Upon her retirement in 2015, Lorraine moved back to St. Catharines.

Evans BarbaraEVANS, Barbara Elaine (nee Coates) - Barbara passed away peacefully on December 5, 2017 at Chateau Gardens in her 87th year.

She was the loving wife of the late David Evans (2016), beloved mother of Antony, Mark and Gillian and dear sister of Bernice Owen. Her niece, nephews and extended family and friends, will fondly remember her.

Barbara was born and raised in Winnipeg. After completing her education at the University of Manitoba, she moved to Montreal in 1952. She met her husband, David, while they were both working at J. Walter Thompson. After marrying, they lived in Mississauga where Barbara opened an antique store in Yorkville called the Cat’s Whiskers that featured Canadiana furniture.
