Visser JohnVISSER, John (Jan) - (January 16, 1933 – September 2, 2016) - Safe in the arms of Jesus;

Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Friday, September 2, 2016. 

Loving husband of 59 years to Haike (nee Scholtens).  Beloved father of Johanna (Darrin) Laidman, Ingrid (Douglas) Kneller, & Heidi Collison.  Special Opa to eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  He is survived by three sisters in The Netherlands. 

A special thank-you to his nephew Sander and the Palliative Care Team who enabled John's wish to stay at home during his final days.

Family & Friends will be received at Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, Niagara Falls on Sunday, from 3 – 6 PM. 

A Burial Service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls on Monday, September 5th at 10:15AM, please be at the funeral home for 10 AM.  A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 11AM. 

As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Out of the Cold program with which John volunteered for 6 years would be appreciated.
