D'ANGELA, Anna - After a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully on Wednesday, September 7th, 2016 at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital at the age of 75.

Born in Varmo, Italy and started a new life in Canada in 1961. Beloved wife of Eugenio for 55 years. Loving mother of Irene (Hans) Brinkmann, Henry (Rina) and Randy (Anrita). Dear Nonna of Jenna, Julie and Kyle.

Survived by sisters Mercedes and Sandra of Italy, and predeceased by brothers Gigi and Marino and sister Giulia. Sister-in-law of Attilio (Ceclia) D'Angela and Rita (Nick) Marino and many nieces & nephews.

She was a member of Club Roma, Fogolar Furlan Club and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Church. Anna worked in food services at Brock University for many years.

Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and especially Phyllis and Vittoria for their special care of our mother.

The family will receive friends at the Haine funeral home, Thorold on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Vigil Prayers will be held there on Thursday at 3pm.

Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church (21 Queen St. S., Thorold) on Friday, September 9th at 10:00am. Rite of Committal with Entombment to follow.

If so desired, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
