Sitar JoanSITAR, Joan (nee Taylor) - Passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 66.

Loving wife of Allan for 41 years. Survived by her brother Brian (Hiroko), twin sister Janice, father-in law Norman Davies, brother-in-law Dennis Sitar, sisters-in-law Kay (John) MacDermid and Josie Dobrensky. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends, especially Cathy and Mike Peacock.

Predeceased by her mother Mabel (1968), her father Leonard (1995), mother-in-law Iris (2016) and sister-in-law Randy.

Joan graduated from the Hamilton and District School of Medical Technology (Chedoke). She worked as a medical laboratory technologist for 28 years at MDS Labs (Welland) and the old Hotel Dieu Hospital, St. Catharines. Joan was an avid Toronto Maple Leafs and sports fan. She enjoyed travelling the world with Al sharing many adventures together.

Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service to celebrate Joan’s life will be held at a later date. Private interment at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill.

If desired, memorial donations to Hospice Niagara (403 Ontario St., St. Catharines, ON L2N 1L5) would be appreciated and can be made through Pleasantview funeral home.
