Harper GordHARPER, Gordon John - With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of the beloved husband of 40 years of Joy "Sano" on September 6, 2016 at Hamilton General Hospital in his 68th year.

Cherished uncle of Cherie Inksetter, Jim Harper (Cathy), Jason Harper (Karen), Peter Giesbrecht, Andrew Giebrecht (Lisa) and Colin Giesbrecht (Weng).

Sadly missed brother-in-law to Joan Cushnie (Don), Pauline Giesbrecht (Peter), and Linda Harper. Also missed by grand nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents Jim & Francis and brother James Arthur.

Gord was a "car crazy kind of guy for most of his adult life pampering his sports cars and motorcycle. An avid hunter and fisherman nurtured along as a child by his father Jim on many family trips back home to northern Saskatchewan.

He was an active member of Perfection Lodge for 30 years, and a member of Scottish Rite and York Rite Lodges.

Special thanks to Dr. Andre Lamy of Hamilton General Hospital for his valiant efforts along with his OR team. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or any charitable organization of choice will be appreciated by his family.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Tallman funeral homes, Vineland chapel on Tuesday, September 13th from 7-8:30pm with a Masonic Service at 6:30pm. Funeral service will take place in the chapel on Wednesday at 12 noon with an hour of visitation prior to the service. Reception to follow.
