Augustine BillAUGUSTINE, William 'Bill' Murray - Peacefully surrendered to our Lord and Saviour on September 12, 2016 with his loving wife Helen by his side.

Bill loved living life to the fullest and was incredibly proud of his large family. His girls, Claire (Doug) Ward, Janice (Gino) Arcaro, Laura (Mike) Nixon, Ellen (Drew) Wakeham, Phyllis (Greg) Sprout and Lorraine Brunelle will cherish their dad’s memory forever.

His 23 grandchildren will remember their grandpa as one who was always there to help, whatever the task, making every situation a teaching opportunity. Many of them shared in building, re-tooling and flying his model airplanes with him when he wasn’t busy with his other hobby: inventing wines.

Bill’s four young great-grandchildren will learn more of him through the family stories that will surely abound in the months and years to come.

Bill has joined his parents Murray and Evelyn, his brothers, Alan and Arthur and sisters, Phyllis (Percy) Herbert and Ethel Kloetstra in Heaven.  He will be sadly missed by his brother Louis (Elaine) Augustine, sister-in-law Pat Augustine, brother-in-law Jim (Marilyn) Kloetstra and sister-in-law Vi Mooney.

A true “Canadian First,” Bill served his community and the city he loved dearly as Regional Councillor for three terms starting in 1979 while building his legacy, Augustine’s School Bus.

The Augustine family will receive visitors at the Davidson funeral home, Port Colborne on Thursday September 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with Vigil prayers recited there at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday at 1:30 p.m. with cremation to follow.

Donations may be made to the St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund or the Hospital for Sick Children.
