PHILLIPS, Frances HR (nee SHANKLIN)  - On October 1, 2016, at 90 years of age, passed peacefully at The Hon. Ray and Helen Lawson Eventide Home, in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Born in Saint John, NB and graduating as a RN, Fran started her career caring for others.

She is lovingly remembered by her dearly beloved daughters Anne and Diane; their husbands Dave and Bob; two grandsons Scott and Mark; and her niece Frances Hill and nephew James Powell. She was predeceased by her dear daughter Jane and beloved husband Gerry.

Fran shall be remembered for her tireless work with Girl Guides, as a Division Commissioner, her work with the Meals on Wheels program in Etobicoke with former Mayor Bruce Sinclair and her passion to help the youth as exemplified with her years of service supporting Big Sisters of Ontario and Youth Link.

Special thank you to all the caring teams members at Eventide who helped Mum and our family find happiness and peace in this difficult time.

A Private Family Service will be held according to her wishes.

Fran will be sadly missed by all those whose lives she touched but will always be lovingly remembered and never forgotten.
