Laverty MarjorieLAVERTY, Marjorie - Passed away peacefully, at Edgewater Gardens, Dunnville on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the age of 96.

Beloved wife of late Patrick (2006).

Predeceased by sons Matthew (1945), Martyn (1980) and daughter Mary (1947). Survived by her children Marlene, Monica (Wayne) Cechet, Michael (Karen), and Mark (Linda). Also survived by daughter-in-law Barbara.

Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jeremy, Kelly (Chris), Jennifer, Ryan (Sheila), Nicole (Brad), Adam, Alison (Ron), Erin, and great-grandchildren Joshua, Chloe, and Delaney. Also fondly remembered by her siblings, extended family and friends.

Marjorie was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Catholic Women's League, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 142 Dunnville, and was a faithful member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish.

Marjorie was a great knitter, and made amazing cookies which she often shared with her family and friends at tea time. She enjoyed sewing and many crafts. During her younger years she spent time with the family where they enjoyed skating and skiing. She was a knowledgeable Blue Jay fan.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, Dunnville on Sunday from 2-5 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, 204 Alder Street West, Dunnville on Monday, February 13th at 10:30 a.m.

Donations in memory of Marjorie may be made to Dunnville Hospital & Healthcare Foundation or a charity of choice.
