Sim KatieSIM, Katie (nee Crouch) - Passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on March 5, 2017 at age 93.

Adored wife of the late Bill Sim (2010), her cherished husband of 55 years, together they travelled the world, visiting over 120 countries.

Born in Crowland in 1923, she was predeceased by her parents Sidor and Dorothy Crouch, brothers Philip, William and Fred Crouch, sister Rose Magnus, brother-in-law John Magnus and sister-in-law Krishna Crouch.

Survived by her sister-in-law Stella Crouch, nieces Leanna and Linda Crouch, nephew Craig (Patti) Magnus. Treasured Great-Aunt of Luba and Seamus Magnus, Hartlea Fawcett, Jeremy and Matthew Squires and other extended family. Katie leaves fond memories for her many dear friends including Tina Thebaud. 

Katie’s family would like to extend their gratitude to the compassionate care provided by her doctors, nurses and staff at Henley House, Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital and the Welland Hospital.

In keeping with Katie’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral or visitation. A private interment will take place at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community Living Welland/Pelham or a charity of your choice through H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland.
