Lawrence JohnLAWRENCE, John - (May 22, 1935 - March 6, 2017) - Went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2017 at the Hamilton General Hospital in his 82nd year.

Beloved husband of the late Diane (2010); survived by his second wife Vicky Alingal Lawrence.

Dear and loving father of Julie Lawrence , Andrew (Lisa Lawrence). Cherished grandpa of Janelle Daly and Ason Wong and great grandpa to Russell Wong.

John attended Freedom in Christ Church in Welland and Destin Assembly of God in Destin, Florida and will be greatly missed by both communities. John was very active in his church, a brilliant man, an academic & a deeply spiritual person, and lived out his precious faith in Jesus up until his last breath. John saw many wonderful miracles in his life time.

His family are extremely proud of all of his accomplishments. He was blessed to live a long life with his loving outgoing personality. As a Civil Engineer, he touched the lives of many people in England, Malaysia, Greece, Guatemala, South Africa, Bosnia, USA, China and many churches throughout the world. His efforts contributed to many lives.

Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Friday March 10th at the JAMES L. PEDLAR FUNERAL HOME, 1292 Pelham Street, Fonthill. The funeral to celebrate John's life will take place at the funeral home on Saturday March 11th at 10:00am. Interment to follow at Hillside Cemetery. 

As an expression of sympathy donations to the Freedom in Christ Church would be greatly appreciated.
