Birtles PeterBIRTLES, James 'Peter' - (Retired Niagara Regional Police) – Longtime resident of the Village of Queenston passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital with family by his side, in his 90th year.

Husband for 65 years of Mary. Loving Dad of Stephen (Betty) Birtles, Alison (Jim) Fraser, Sheila (Jack) Karr and his late infant daughter Mary Birtles(1953). Cherished Grandad of Stephen and Alysha Birtles, Sarah Holford, Graeme Fraser, the late Graeme Birtles, and the late Rachel Birtles. Great-grandfather of Cody Holford.

Peter retired as a proud member of the Niagara Regional Police Force and was a 35 year member of the International Police Association.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, March 18th from 12 – 1p.m. at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME, 75 Church St., St. Catharines. A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place.

If desired, memorial donations made to Bethesda Home Foundation or the Niagara Falls Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
