Sittler HarrySITTLER, Harry George - It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved “Kooky Kanook” on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2:37 a.m. after a lengthy battle with cancer, and with his loving family by his side. He was in his 75th year.

Beloved husband and best friend to Linda for 53 years. Cherished father to Tammy (Cris) Fluri, Patti “Fluffy” Edwards, Andrew (Danica) Sittler and Jodi “Puffy” (Martin) Milhomme.

Special Papa to Justin, Gregory, Stephen, Victoria, Austin, Taylor, Evan, AJ, Kyle and Brooke: and Grand Papa to Hailey, Lilly and Addison.

Harry will be sadly missed by his lifelong friends; Henry & Bev, Carl & Bev, Karen Cosco and their families. He will be fondly remembered by extended family, many friends, his racing family and his faithful companion Bella.

“Kooky Kanook” had a passion for stock car racing, whether he was driving or in the pits at Merrittville and in Western New York. He enjoyed his racing career for over 40 years.

His family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to the nurses in the Oncology dept 3B at the St. Catharines Hospital as well as Dr. Levesque.

Harry’s family will receive friends at PLEASANTVIEW FUNERAL HOME, Fonthill on Wednesday, March 15th from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, March 16th at 1:00 p.m.
