MASSARD, Frank Edward – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Monday April 3, 2017 at the age of 97.

We are comforted to know that Dad is now reunited with his beloved wife of 58 years, Rita (2003).

Dearly missed by his sons Frank Byron (Josie) and Neal Edwin. Loving G-Dad to Lesley Saxton (Mark), Jessica Massard (Josh Peressotti) and Amanda White (Kyle). Proud G-G-Dad of Madelyn, Cole, Nolan and Oliver.

Dear brother of Virginia MacMillan (the late Joseph). Cherished Uncle Frank to Stu Rodgers (the late Fran) (Lisa), Sheldon Rodgers (Donna), Lynne Dyment (Douglas), Gail Moore (Tom), the late Glenn Rodgers (the late Janice) (Wendy), Candice Mansell (Richard), Beth Petrie (the late Paul) (Michael), Donald Rodgers (Beth), Judy MacDonald, Linda Wilcox (Ken), Dan MacMillan (Lois) and Gloria Jackson (Jim) and their families.

Predeceased by his sisters Laurena Creamer, Nina Nobles, brother Philip and brother-in-law Stu Rodgers and sister-in-law Elizabeth Rodgers.

Frank was born in Salida, Colorado and graduated from Colorado University. During WWII, he met and married his sweetheart Rita in Liverpool while proudly serving as a Lieutenant in the US Navy. They settled in Niagara Falls where he had a career as an executive in journalism and marketing/advertising, retiring in 1978 from Carborundum. He was a member of the BCVA, RCL Br. 51 and the RCNA.

The family will receive friends at Morse & Son Funeral Home, 5917 Main Street, Niagara Falls on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel Friday at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Donations may be made to One Foundation (GNGH Trillium).
