Matthews BevMATTHEWS, Beverley 'Bev' - With her family by her side at Extendicare Nursing Home on Saturday, April 7, 2017 in her 76th year.

Loving mother of Cathie Laskey (Chris). She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Shane and Samantha. She is survived by her brother-in-law Gordon, nieces, nephews and she predeceased by her sister Barbara Helmkay.

She has left behind her lifelong friends Janice Anderson, Beverley Holman, Sylvia Taylor and Lorraine Taylor.

A special thank you to the Extendicare staff, Spectrum staff and the nurses at the Dialysis Unit of the Welland County General Hospital. Also a heartfelt thank you to Tami and Bonnie for being there.

Bev was a volunteer for many years with the St. David's Lions Carnival.

At her request, cremation has taken place. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the BUTLER FUNERAL HOME, 424 Niagara St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, April 12th at 11:00 am with the family receiving friends from 10:00 am until the time of her service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Lincoln County Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
