Yedinak MarianYEDINAK, Marian Helen (Syrja) – Loving wife of Bill Yedinak for 31 years, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the age of 57.

Beloved sister of Karen Smeja (Syrja) and sister-in-law of Stefan Smeja and Robert Yedinak. Special aunt to Christien, Zofia and Michael Smeja.

Loving daughter-in-law of Bill Yedinak Sr. She is also survived by Tiger, her faithful furry companion. Marian was predeceased by her parents Wilho and Erma Syrja, Brother Wayne Syrja (Lisa Hagan), mother-in-law Anne Yedinak and Harley, her first cat.

Marian is survived by many friends and family, co-workers and neighbours. She thanks them all for who they are, what they have shared together and meant to her and Bill throughout their lives.

Marian was the librarian at St. Alfred’s School for over 25 years. Marian graciously nurtured her passion for the written word with so many, young and old. As in a great novel, we celebrate the joy of our shared adventure. We reflect on Marian’s beauty, love, kindness, humour, passion, strength and her appreciation of music, nature and animals; all learnings we hold dear.

Special thanks to Dr. Janice Giesbrecht, Nurse Jamie and the Walker Cancer Centre Nurses, CCAC, St. Elizabeth Nurses and Hospice Niagara Nurses.

At Marian’s request, cremation has taken place. There will not be a service. ‘Crank up the music, raise your glass to happiness and a life well lived’.

In memory of Marian, donations may be made to the Animal Assistance Society of the Niagara Region and Wellspring Niagara Cancer Centre and may be made through the Bocchinfuso Funeral Home, 2 Regent Street, Thorold.
