For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Bufalino TonyBUFALINO, Anthony 'Tony' - Passed away suddenly on February 9, 2018 at the age of 83.

Loving husband of Madeleine (Paroyan) of 59 years. Cherished father of Charlie (Carla), Mike (Sharon), John (Chantelle Brown), Carmelina and Rosemarie (Dean) Schappert. Beloved Grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Tony will be dearly missed by the extended Bufalino and Paroyan families including many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours.

Tony was born in Montedoro, Sicily in 1934 and moved to Canada in 1953 where he met the love of his life in 1957, marrying her in 1958.

Through his determination, commitment and hard work he was successful in building a strong family, a thriving business and lasting friendships, especially his Facer Street family.

Family and friends will be welcomed at the George Darte funeral home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Monday, February 12th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with vigil prayers recited at 3pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13th at Star of the Sea Church, 34 Elgin St., at 12pm.

Memorial donations made to Juravinski Cancer Centre or Make a Wish Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
