For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Dilts GordonDILTS, Gordon William - (1926 - 2018) - After a long and happy life, Gordon passed away peacefully at the Port Colborne General Hospital on Saturday, February 10, 2018.

Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Marion (nee Brady) and children David (Cathy Kimpton) Dilts, Diane (John) Thompson and Vivian Dilts.

Lovingly remembered by grandchildren Sarah (Matthew) Chatillon and Christopher Dilts and great grandson Owen Chatillon.

Survived by sisters-in-law Marion Dilts, Marjory Sherk and Bonnie Visser; and brother-in-law Garson (Elsie) Brady; and many nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by parents William and Alice (Schooley) Dilts and siblings Evelyn Weston, Harold Dilts, Beatrice Stephenson, Roy Dilts, Arnold Dilts and Orlin Dilts.

A special thank you to the staff of the Port Colborne General Hospital for the excellent care they provided Gordon during his stay.

Family and friends are invited to visit the Davidson funeral home, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday, February 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.  Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday February 14th at 11:00 a.m. in the Davidson Chapel.  Interment to follow in Morgan’s Point Cemetery.

If so desired memorial donations may be made to Morgan’s Point United Church or the charity of one’s choice.
