We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue
NiagaraObituaries.com
.

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support NiagaraObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Sincerely,

NiagaraObituaries.com

Ovens AnnabelleOVENS, Annabelle (nee McNeillie) - (August 3, 1930 - February 9, 2018) - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Annabelle Ovens. Annabelle passed away peacefully in her home on Friday February 9th, 2018 with her loved ones by her side.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, Bruce A. Ovens, daughter Cheryl Ovens, and son David Ovens, along with her grandchildren Alexandra, John, and James.

Predeceased by her parents Robert, and Selena McNeillie, and by her son John Ovens.

In her younger years Annabelle was a member of the Drummond Hill Presbyterian Church, where she attended Sunday school, and sang in the Choir. She was also a CGIT leader for many years, before becoming an active member of the Chippawa Presbyterian Church, where she is beloved by many members of her congreation. She also belonged to the Women's Missionary Society for 50+ years.

Annabelle touched the lives of many, never forgetting a name, or missing a chance to make someone laugh with her quick wit. Her warm heart, and kind nature will never be forgotten.

The family would like to thank minister Doug Schonberg, and Hetherington & Deans Funeral Chapel, Niagara Falls. As well as a special thanks to the palliative care team, and the HNHB LHIN for helping take care of Annabelle in her final days.

Visitation will be held at 10am on Tuesday, February 13th at the Chippawa Presbyterian Church, service to follow at 11am.

Donations can be made to the Lupus Society, or the Chippawa Presbyterian Church.
