We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue
NiagaraObituaries.com
.

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support NiagaraObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Sincerely,

NiagaraObituaries.com

Simpson JuliaSIMPSON, Julia Rose - (Aged 6), known to many simply as “Jules”, passed away peacefully in the loving arms of parents, Katie and Dave Simpson, in the PICU of McMaster Children’s Hospital, Hamilton, late in the evening of Friday the 9th, February, 2018 whilst following her very familiar bedtime routine of a bath and watching her favourite movie, Frozen, all snuggled up with her much loved soft toys.

In her all-too-brief life she brought us all great joy and was greatly treasured by everyone privileged enough to know her.

Like a visiting angel with grace and love she came into all our lives, and as true sisters, she will guide and watch over her little sister, Evie, as Evie has for her. As Evie frequently says, we all just want her back.

Julia was the much anticipated and welcomed first grandchild of Gramma and Grampa Diane and Barry Simpson of Port Colborne, and Nanny and Poppy  Annette and Peter Gurren of Tamworth, Australia.

She was greatly loved and cherished by her uncles, aunts and cousins, Dan, Kenny and Lynn Simpson and their children Jacob, Liam and Rosalie, Anne and Trev Snyder, Great Aunt Bev, and her Aussie aunt Angela and her little baby Chris, along with her extended families in Canada and Australia.

Though her little life was restricted, she reached out and touched the lives of many with grace and innocence. And she received lots of love and personal care, firstly from her devoted therapists and team at the Niagara Children’s Centre and the care team at Port Colborne Regional Daycare.

In her last year, she was so fortunate to enter the wider and beautiful community of St. Patrick’s Catholic Elementary School, Port Colborne, where she absolutely thrived on the obvious love, care and attention of her lovely, generous schoolmates, EA’s and teachers.

At the end, she could never have received more thoughtful, personal and tender care than from the wonderful, outstanding team at the PICU, to whom we are forever grateful.

Julia laughed and smiled and cuddled her way through her short but meaningful life, against all the odds.  Her appreciation of the small and simple things in life, of touch and the warmth and closeness of family and friends is inspirational to us all.

She was easy to love, and simply radiated love, so it seems only fitting that visitation will be held on her parents' wedding anniversary on Tuesday, February 13th at Davidson funeral home 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 14th at 2:00 p.m. in the Davidson Chapel.  Interment to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.

For those who may wish to donate please consider Tender Wishes Foundation, which made possible a most wonderfully cherished family trip to Disney World, or the Niagara Children’s Centre.
