We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support NiagaraObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Crabtree KayeCRABTREE, Kaye Lynn (Thornton) - (September 21, 1945 - February 9, 2018) -

It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to Kaye at the early age of 72. She passed away peacefully at her home on February 9, 2018 surrounded by family.

Cherished wife of David for 48 years.  Beloved mother to Robert (Sherry), Kathy (Rito) and Jim (Elisa). Loving Nana to Harrison, Ashely, Kalli and David.

She will also be deeply missed by her sister, Karen and her many other friends and extended family. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Clara Thornton of Peterborough.

As a self-taught artist, Kaye spent many happy years teaching her love of oil painting to children and adults.  Her favourite place was her childhood cottage in Buckhorn. Kaye had a playful spirit and enjoyed playing cards and games, especially poker. She was a gambler at heart and loved going to the casino. Her love of dogs will not be forgotten. She had a special connection with her beloved golden retrievers, they were always part of the family.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, February 13th from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St. Vineland.  The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, February 14th at 11:00 a.m.  Luncheon to follow.

Cremation will take place and a private ceremony held for the burial at the Mount Osborne Cemetery, Beamsville, in the spring.

Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Marshall and the Palliative Care team at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital for the outstanding care and emotional support during this difficult time.

If desired, doantions can be made to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation.
