For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Neil PhyllisNEIL, Phyllis Rae (nee Hutley) - Passed peacefully surrounded by her family on February 11, 2018, in her 91st year.

Predeceased by her husband John. Phyllis will be sadly missed by her daughter Melody, son Michael (Mary) and Andre.

Loving grandmother to Vanessa (Frank), Christopher (Krystal), Derrell, Cheyenne (Ken), Cierra and great grandmother to Olivia, Ryleigh and Rowyn. Phyllis will also be missed dearly by her many nieces, nephews and friends of the family.

A lover of the outdoors, Phyllis could often be found at her cottage up north or down south in Florida, where she developed a passion for painting. When she wasn't vacationing, she could be found supporting her favourite Toronto sports teams.

Family, friends and guests are welcomed to the George Darte funeral home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Wednesday, February 14th from 2-4pm & 6:30-9pm with a Ceremony of Life on Thursday, February 15th at 11am in the funeral home ceremony room.

If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
