We Regret to Announce That We Have Had to Discontinue

For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Sponsors are welcome to participate and support NiagaraObituaries.com by advertising (i.e., local funeral centres, cemeteries, monument suppliers or local businesses, ...we would also include your Banners and Direct Links to your websites) – please contact us !

Participating Funeral Centres will be prominently Featured; within their Region, and within the Obituary Notices, including Links redirecting viewers to your Websites.

We are continuing to publish notices to DurhamObituraies.com …  and also for now, TorontoObituaries.com and HaltonObituaries.com

Thank you for visiting our website.

We plan to have the 9 other Regional Websites back on-line soon!

Kedzierski CatharineKEDZIERSKI, Catharine - Passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 11, 2018 at the age of 91.

Predeceased by her husband Michal (1984), son Joseph (2016), son-in-law Wieslaw (2017). Adored mother of Mary Wierzcholski and mother-in-law to Barbara.

Cherished Babcia to Adrienne, Greg (Sarah), Joanne (Pablo), Kathy (Nick), Sylvia (Chris) and Derek (Justiss). Prabi-Babi to Gabriel, Benjamin, Naomi, Eli, Jonah, Mason and Zosia.

Catharine is survived by her sister Stefania and predeceased by her brothers Michal, Wladyslaw and sister Janina of Ukraine.

Born in her beloved Barysz, Poland, Catharine was an amazing, vibrant woman of integrity, strength and courage. Above all she was a woman of strong faith which sustained her during her young adult years with the Virgin Mary of Jazlowiec by her side. It was a faith that continued throughout the joys and sorrows of her life in Canada. She prayed daily for many things, but none more important than each of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She taught us the values of independence, hard work, honoring commitments and seeing a task through to the end.

Family, love and tradition were all paramount values in Catharine’s life and will live on in each of us. Mama may have had her opinions, but she was always willing to listen to others.

Catharine was blessed to be a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church since immigrating to Canada in 1962, worked at the New Murray Hotel for four years and then became the proud owner of the St. Joseph’s Bakery since the late 1960’s.

A sincere thank you to niece Hania of Ukraine for her caring and compassion.

Family, friends and guests are welcomed to the George Darte funeral home, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines on Tuesday, February 13th from 2-4pm and 6:30-9pm with Rosary being recited at 3:00pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street on Wednesday, February 14th at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.

If desired, memorial donations to Our Lady of Perpetual Help building fund, Pro Kids - Music Gives or charity of one’s choice.

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn’t go alone, for part of us went with you the day God called you home.” We are so thankful for you..
