For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Glasford AnnGLASFORD, Ann (nee Pereira) - At West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby on Thursday, May 10, 2018, Maria Ann Glasford (nee Pereira) passed away at the age of 71.

Beloved wife of Ian Glasford for 50 years.

Loving mother of Shane Glasford (Ola), and Zac Glasford (Fiona).  Cherished grandmother of Erik, Alec, Duncan, and Keira.

She will also be remembered by 13 brothers and sisters, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Ann was a member of Smithville Art Club, Lakeside Pumphouse Artists Association, Grimsby Senior Choir, and was a former employee of the Royal Bank of Canada.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 166 West Street (Regional Rd 20), Smithville on Monday, May 14 at 11 a.m. with interment at the Church's adjoining cemetery.

If desired, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice through Merritt funeral home.
