WATT, Audrey Ione – The present journey has ended for Audrey and now she has gone from our midst. Audrey passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Ina Grafton Gage, in her 100th year.

She was born in St. Catharines on October 2, 1917 and lived all of her life in the area, having spent the last number of years at the Ina Grafton Gage Village. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac and Louise Wismer of Louth Township.

Predeceased by her husband Flying Officer (RCAF) Thomas Fair Watt on June 10, 1942. Also predeceased by her half brother Harold Furry. She will be missed by her many dear friends.

 

Willwerth WendyWILLWERTH, Wendy (nee WERTMAN) - Formerly of Buffalo, N.Y. passed away peacefully at the Welland Hospital, on Friday March 10, 2017 at the age of 74.

Beloved wife of the late Richard Willwerth.

Loving and cherished mother of Gregory Willwerth (Louise) of Fonthill. Dear aunt of Tara, Heather, Matt, Sarah, Kim, Robin, Jim, Tom, Mark, MaryAnne, Nick, Jane and Anna. Also great aunt of Sarah, Jenna and Joshua.

 

Morasiewicz WalterMORASIEWICZ, Walter L. - Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Wentworth Lodge, Dundas, in his 96th year.

Walter is predeceased by his loving wife of 61 years, Anne (2009).

Devoted father of Paul (Colombe) of Ancaster, Walter (Dianne) of Nanoose Bay, B.C., and Linda (Bill) Sadler of Burlington. Proud grandfather of Katrina and Patrick Morasiewicz, Ryan Morasiewicz, and Bill and Lindsay Sadler. Walter, the eldest of five siblings, is predeceased by his two brothers, Mitchell and Joseph, and two sisters, Mary and Amelia.

 

Donaven LeolaDONAVEN, Leola (nee Godard) - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our mother and Nana, Leola Jeanne Donaven on March 10, 2017, at the age of 95. She went in the arms of her family.

She will be sadly missed by her children Noreen Dillon (Len) of St Catharines and Glenn Donaven (Joan) of Seeley Bay, On, her grandchildren Kim Robillard (Kevin) of Brantford, Shawn Dillon (Tammy) of Newmarket, Barry Donaven of St Catharines and Ryan Donaven of Harrowsmith, her great- grandchildren Jeff Robillard (Melissa), Ken Searle, Chandra, Cole and Cassandra Robillard, Braedon and Riley Dillon, and her great-great grandchildren Christopher and Olivia.

She also leaves behind sisters Fern Young, Theresa Sarrazin, Helen McNeil, Rolly Pehora (Walt) and Colette Ferguson (Don), sister-in-law Joyce Donaven, daughter-in-law, Laura Donaven and many nieces and nephews in the Godard and Donaven families.

She was predeceased by her husband Murray and 4 brothers Leo, Gerry (Carol), Robert and his wife Joyce, and Ad (Jean).

 

Cunningham LoisCUNNINGHAM, Lois (nee Hall) - Surrounded by her family, on March 10, 2017, in her 88th year, Lois slipped away, ever so peacefully.

She was predeceased by her husband Phillip (Eddie) 2013.

Mother of Anna Marie (Glen), Debbie (Cid), Nancy (Randy). Sadly missed by her grandchildren Lee, Amanda (Brian), Rob ( Koryn), Evan, Mallory (Jay) Jenna and Ashley and great-granddaughter Lily.

Leslie Bryan Medigee, beloved husband of Diane Medigee (nee Fenton). Loving father of Melanie Gayle,Brian Medigee (Kirsten), Alice, Carol and Steven Medigee. Loving Grandpa of Cheyenne, Adam, Omane and Hazel-Grace. Great Grandpa of Karter.

Dear brother of Wayne, Jocelyn (Paul) and Danny. Fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Doug Jr.

Les was a longtime employee of the Book Depot in Thorold.

SMITH, Verda Steele - Passed away peaceful at home on Friday, March 10th, 2017, at the age of 83.

She was born Verda Steele in Brownsburg, QC. Verda was proceeded in death by her husband of 59 years George (2011) and daughter Sharon Burns (2016). She is survived by her children Don (Ruth), (Mike Burns), Ken (Irene), Brian (Marjory), Greg and Cindy Marr.

A loving grandmother of Nick, Ian, Neil, Mike, Megan, Andrew, Devon, Andrea, Eric, Bobby, and 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Florence, Ivy, Grace, Betty, Don, and Jenny who have been a source of joy and support in her life.

 

CAMP, Donald 'Graham' - Suddenly, at home on March 10, 2017 at the age of 75.

Born in Halifax, NS July 23, 1941 to William Albert and Alice Marie Camp.

Graham Camp survived by his wife Kathleen (nee Lovegrove) and two sons Christopher of Waverly, NS and Dana of Beamsville, ON. Survived by his sister Beverly (Boon), brother David both of Halifax. Predeceased by his brother Stephen. Survived by his granddaughter, aunts, uncles, cousins and many brother and sister inlaws.

Graham served on the Halifax Police Force and was later employed as an Immigration Officer, Letter Carrier, and as an Insurance Adjuster working for Co-op Insurance, Pilot Insurance and Erie Mutual Insurance.

Harder RitaHARDER, Rita Jacqueline Ann (nee van Gelder) - Passed away on March 9, 2017 from complications of liver failure. This was after seven weeks of fighting in the ICU at the Toronto General Hospital at the age of 61, with her family always by her side.

Incredibly devoted and loving wife to Dave for over 40 years. Caring and nurturing mother to Grant (Meaghan) and Perry. Soon to be a grandmother to her first grandchild.

Cherished daughter to Nell and the late John van Gelder. Beloved sister to Henry van Gelder (Joanie Russell) and Richard (Margie) van Gelder. Special aunt to many nieces, nephews and other family members.

 

Cormier EdwardCORMIER, Edward Armand - Passed away peacefully at home in his 87th year on Thursday, March 9, 2017.

Loving husband of the late Joan (2009) for 58 years. He will always be cherished by his five children Ed, Linda (Jim) Kretz, Mark (Judy), Janine (Rob) Hendriks and Lorraine (Brad) Ford.

Cherished Grandpa "Bubba" to Laura, Michelle, Christina, David, Katherine, Melissa, Amanda, Zachary, Addam, Lisa, David, Michelle and several great grandchildren.

Armand was dearly loved by his sister Marguerite Stack, his late brother Bill, each of their families, and his many friends - especially his Jazz buddies at Cats.

 

Hinsperger LillianHINSPERGER, Lillian Joyce (nee Andrist) – (January 4, 1930 – March 9, 2017) - Passed away peacefully at the age of 87.

Lillian was born in Sault Ste. Marie, ON and moved to Chippawa with her young family in 1967.

Predeceased by her beloved husband W.A. (Buck) Hinsperger in 2004. Survived by her sons Scott (Mona) and Mark (Terri), and her grandchildren Kyle, Nicole, Matthew, Curtis and Heather and her favourite cat Tinkerbell.

Predeceased by his wife of 67 years Thelma and his son Bryan (2017).

Devoted father of Cynthia McDonald (Ken). Grandfather of Cassandra (Andrew), Britney, Christopher, Bradley, Tiffany, Sarah, Breanne and Zach.

KUCHARUK, Peter - (1930 - 2017) - Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at Albright Manor.

Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Barnard) of 55 years. Loving father to Peter, Paul (Deneen) and David (Nicole). Will be lovingly remembered by his two grandchildren Ryan (Samantha) Kucharuk and Kayla (Nicholas) Walsh and his two great-grandchildren Caleb and Logan Walsh.

He will be missed by his sisters Maria Wasyleczko (the late Bill), Lidia (George) Hiltschuk, Vera (George) Bauer and his brother Bill (Monica) Kucharuk. He is predeceased by two of his brothers Ted (Teresa) and Walter Kucharuk. He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law George (Audrey) Barnard, Jack (Audrey) Barnard and Bill (Monika) Barnard.

Hippeson MarieHIPPERSON, Marie (nee Brunskill) - Passed away on March 8, 2017.

Marie was born to Ella Mae Whaley and Richard Brunskill on a farm in Banner, Ontario on June 7th, 1921. Together with her sisters, Luella, Jean, Irene and brother Ken, the family lived in various locations throughout Ontario during her formative years.

When she was 18 years of age Marie married George Hipperson in Ingersoll, Ontario and where their two daughters (Jackie, born June 5th, 1946) and Judy, born November 2, 1950) were born. Marie had one granddaughter (Kristy) and five great grandchildren (Merissa, Joshua, Ila, Kai and Lykan). George and Marie moved to Pleasant Manor in Virgil, Ontario in 1991.

 

LAMURE, Christopher Anthony - (1955 - 2017) - Passed away peacefully at his home in St. Catharines on Wednesday, March 8, 2017.

Christopher Anthony Lamure, loving son of the late Joe Lamure and his late wife Betty. Loved brother of Linda Benoit-Jackson, Sue Lamure and Brenda Lamure. Fondly remembered by his friends, nieces and nephews.

Predeceased by two brothers Bernie and Bryan.

 

PAKRUL, Irene - Passed away peacefully on March 7, 2017 at the Toronto Western Hospital at the age of 90.

Predeceased by her husband Daniel (2000), son Mark (1988) and daughter Deborah (2008). She is survived by her sons Rev. Peter Pakrul of Mississauga, and Philip Pakrul of Toronto.

Irene is also lovingly remembered by granddaughters Lisa (T.J. Poehlman) and Rebecca (Paul Verlinden), great-granddaughter Katelyn, her brother Gordon (Lois) Bergen and many nieces, nephews and dear friends in Port Colborne, Kitchener and the GTA.

Predeceased by parents Michael and Emily Sharik, husband Stephen, and daughter Gloria (Holowash). Will be sadly missed by daughter Joanna Estelle and niece Lisa Sharik.
