COON, Jane Cooper (nee McDonic) - Died peacefully on October 23, 2017, at the age of 74 at Northumberland Hills Hospital. For several years she had valiantly battled Parkinson’s Disease, Diabetes and Cancer. 

With a nursing background from Toronto General Hospital, Jane worked in the auto insurance industry until retirement to Cobourg in 1995.

Jane survived by her husband Charles, her daughters Sarah and Susan, three grandchildren, her sister Martha (Carr) and aunt Joan (Singleton).

ELLIS, John 'Michael' - Died in his 85th year at Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg on October 19, 2017 after a lengthy illness. 

Although his business career involved advertising and publishing, including positions with Southam Newspapers, Readers’ Digest and Telemedia Publishing where he retired as VP Advertising Sales, his real love was music. 

Born in Westcliffe-on-Sea, Essex, England, he attended All Saints Margaret Street Choir School in London and graduated from Hurstpierpoint College and Sussex University, Brighton, Sussex. He was commissioned in the British Army and served as Lieutenant with the South Lancashire Regiment in Sudan, Egypt and Cyprus.
