SPENCE, John Edward - It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce that we have lost a wonderful and caring husband, father, grandfather and brother. John was in his 65th year when he passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday October 29, 2016.  

Husband of Eva Cartwright, father of Lori (Jonathon) and Karen (Jesse), step father to Dale (Jane) and Lindsey (Sean).  

Loving grandfather to Tyler, Jacob, Carver, and step grandpa to Curtis (Taylor) and Noah.

Will be missed by his sister Jean (Bill), and brother Earl (late Cathy). Predeceased by brother Bob (Ellen). Also missed by his nieces and nephews. 

J ohn is a retired General Motors employee of 32 years. John loved his sports and participating as well as a Legion member. John will be missed by all his family and friends. He was the kindest person ever, always putting everyone ahead of himself. 

A Funeral Service will be held at MacCoubrey Funeral Home, Cobourg on Saturday, November 5th, at 11 am. Reception to follow with later interment at Baltimore. Visitation to be held at funeral home on Friday, November 4th, from 6 to 9 pm with a RCL Branch #133 walk through to be held on Friday evening at 5:45pm. 

In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or charity of your choice.
