CLARK, Elizabeth Florence 'Betty' - Peacefully and with grace, with her family present, Elizabeth (Betty) Florence Clark (nee Wood) died on November 28, 2016 in Cobourg, Ontario at the age of 93.

Betty was predeceased by her loving husband Phil, who passed away four years earlier, also in Cobourg.

She leaves her daughter Cathy Clark and Cathy’s husband Dale Churchward, her son David and his wife Mary Elizabeth (Knight) as well as grandchildren Patrick and Emlyn Clark.

We will all miss her tremendous smile, gentle determination and sure sense of decorum and justice.

We also want to acknowledge her devoted, life-long friends, Jean MacLennan and the late Patricia Smith.

Betty was the only daughter of Winnifred and Russ Wood of Coldstream Ave. in Toronto. She is also the 2nd remaining member of Phil Clark’s twelve siblings and their spouses, leaving only Phil’s sister Bess (101) alive to represent that generation.

The family wish to thank Esther Johnston for her love and affection and the amazing, positive effect she had on Betty’s life in the final months. We would also like to thank the staff at Extendicare, Cobourg for their excellent attention to detail and care in her final days.

The family will hold a private burial in Toronto followed by a more public memorial in coming weeks to be announced.

If desired, donations may be made to Boost Child & Youth Advocacy Centre or Greenwood Coalition.
