Beloved husband of Kathleen Galligan for 64 beautiful years.

Loving father of Bernard Galligan & his wife Inez, Marie May & her husband Gord, Cathy Galligan, Eileen Harvey & her husband Greg, Brenda Battman & her husband Paul, Marg Stapley & her husband Chris.

Proud grandad of Kathleen, Jocelyn, Crystal & Willamina, Jason & Jennifer, Zach & Meghan, Chad & Tyler, Emma & Kelsey and 16 great grandchildren.

Cherished brother of Bridie in Scotland and predeceased by his siblings Margaret, James, Michael and Mary. John will be truly missed by nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Born in County Cavan, Ireland to James Galligan and Mary Anne Monaghan. Met Kathleen in England in 1951, married in 1953. Moved to Canada in 1957, worked for Wilson's (Gingerale) for about 5 years. After that , John started his career in building and renovations.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Weaver Life Centre, Campbellford on Friday, January 12th, 2018 from 6-8pm and on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 from 9:30 - 10:30am. A Catholic Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 21 Centre St. Campbellford on Saturday, January 13th, 2018 at 11:30am. Reception to follow at St. Mary's School. Private family burial to take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church - Bell Tower, Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation or a charity of choic.
