For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Merrill EvaMERRILL, Evalena - Passed away peacefully at the Warkworth Place Nursing Home on Friday, February 2, 2018, in her 92nd year.

Loving daughter of the late Frederick & Margaret Hendy.

Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Jack Merrill.

Dear mother of Linda Town (late Lionel), late Beverly Sheehy (Mike), Gary, Marilyn Mitchell, Bill (Ang), Sandra Dudley (Dave), and Jim (Annette).

Proud grandmother of 16 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Predeceased by her siblings Helen & Leonard McGee, Herbert & Edna Hendy, and Jerine & Don Clarke.

Also remembered by her many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Weaver Life Centre, Campbellford on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 from 11a.m. till 1p.m. Service to follow in the chapel at 1p.m. Interment in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the PRHC - Oncology Unit or Charity of Your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
