For years, we have posted regional death notices as a free public service, while taking on the complete cost of publishing ourselves. We can no longer do so.

Without participating Funeral Centres, Cemeteries, Monument Suppliers and Local Businesses advertising with us, we can no longer run this website at a financial deficit.

We have received dozens of emails by folks upset at the discontinuation of our daily updates, and we apologize.  We also love this site, and considered it a great service to the public by accumulating and listing all Regional Obituaries in one spot.

Also, we appreciate the privacy to not contact the families of friends for funeral arrangements who may be shortly passing, as well as, friends not having to frequently check all local funeral centre websites for service information.

Dainard FlorenceDAINARD, Florence Clara - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Florence at the Pleasant Meadow Manor Nursing Home in Norwood on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, in her 86th year.

Beloved wife of the late Clarence Dainard (1996).

Dear mother of Lewis C. Dainard (late Carol), William Dainard (Barb), Ethel Little (Bill), and Margaret McIlmoyle (Nelse Summers).

Devoted grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchild, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Survived by her brother Leonard Carr, and sister Carolyn Wood.

Predeceased by her sister Helen Carr.

The family will receive friends at the Weaver Life Centre, Campbellford on Friday, February 9th, 2018 from 12noon till 1:30p.m. Service will follow in the chapel at 1:30p.m. Inurnment to take place in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
