Anna Lyn was the loving and much loved companion of Stephen B H Smith and the widow of Andrew Baxter (2010).

She was the adored mother of Megan (Bill Templeton), Sarah (Jonathan Albright), and Laura (Shawn Henry).

Born to Frank and Jeanette Wilson in Cobourg, Helen lived here her entire life. 

Married to Clifford Bate in 1954 they settled into family life with the birth of their two daughters, Brenda and Terri two years later.

Helen was employed by Kraft General Foods and retired after 26 years. 

She had a “passion for fashion”. She loved to shop, a “real born shopper”. Mom loved owls and had over 100. Helen loved to send cards for all occasions. She never forgot a birthday or holiday.

Christie DanCHRISTIE, Daniel James - Railroader, Writer, Raconteur, a true Renaissance Man - June 28, 1950 - May 3, 2017. Dan died as he wished, at home watching the Blue Jays with his family by his side.

Dan moved to Port Hope in 1991 and didn't waste any time getting involved with his community. With his top hat & tails, "Ganny Danny" spent several years as mascot for Float Your Fanny.

Dan joined the Port Hope Evening Guide Advisory Committee and when the paper closed, he and some friends in town started their own paper (The Town Crier). Dan believed strongly in freedom of speech and that one should question everything they read.

 

TENNY, Dana Margaret - (1941 - 2017) - Reluctantly, on May 3, 2017, Dana let go of the life she still had so much to offer.

Predeceased by her partner Gregg Morton and her father Herbert, she leaves her mother Virginia.

Her long career as librarian, bibliographer and fount of knowledge at the Toronto Public Library's Osborne Collection of Children's Books ceased with her retirement in 1995, although she continued to ply her skills in support of the field of historical children's literature.
