HARE, Wendy Susan - Our sweet girl died on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her home in Port Hope, Ontario. She left peacefully surrounded by her very loving family and her cherished dog, Penny.

Wendy leaves behind a rich legacy of her love, creativity and humour in all that she did but especially with her family.

She met Wayne Hare, the love of her life, at age 15 in Muskoka and was married to him for more than 41 years.

They had two loving children, Samuel Hughes Hare and Bronwen Sarah Hare.

He will be sadly missed by his sons David and Jonathan, his daughters Laura and Carol and his grandchildren, Miles, Dylan, Jennifer, Tara, and Carly, but always remembered with love, smiles and gratitude for the many moments and life lessons he shared.

In retirement Louis and Audrey lived life to the fullest after moving to Port Hope and later to Cobourg, being active in the community promoting and supporting the arts, organizing numerous golf and snooker tournaments and entertaining their many friends and large extended family.

 

Murphy RichardMURPHY, Richard Joseph - On January 5, 2017, Rick died peacefully at Golden Plough Lodge in Cobourg. He was in his 76th year.

Father to Simone Murphy, Susie McAfee (Dan), and Grandfather to two skookum boys, Oliver and Isaac.

He will be fondly remembered by his sister Alice May Kuba; brothers Walter and Francis Murphy; nephews Ryan, Ian, Brendan, and Curtis; and niece Devin.

Rick was born in Toronto, served in the Canadian Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Branch (RCCS) in his youth and was stationed in Germany. He later worked as an electrician for BC Hydro, K-line, and General Motors. He was a proud member of the Canadian Autoworkers Union. He enjoyed his retirement in Peterborough.

MUNN, Diana Helen - October 4, 1942 - January 3, 2017 - With broken hearts, another angel gained her wings, with the loss of our mother Diana Helen Munn (nee Lawson). She is, once again, dancing in the arms of the love of her life, Paul, and lovingly welcomed by her parents, Alma and William and her in-laws, Chloe and Paul.

She will be dearly missed by her daughters Debra, Kimberly and her husband Rick, Kelly, Shirley, Wendy (Dave) and Diane.

Beloved wife for 64 years of the late Jack Lloyd Burnham, with whom she shared bowling trophies at the Granite Club, summers at the Muskoka family cottage, and winters near Tucson Arizona. Most of all, Vivian loved being with her family, who treasure memories of her baking, her knitting, her prowess at cards and crosswords, her wry sense of humour, and her warmth.
