TUMMON, Nama Kathleen (nee SINE)  -  Nama passed away peacefully, at Victoria Manor in Lindsay, on October 19, 2023, just over a month after celebrating her 100th birthday with many of her closest friends and family.

Nama was predeceased by her beloved husband, Frank, of 67 years.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Patti (David Duthie) and Clarke (Cathie Tummon); along with 7 grandchildren, Shane, Matt, Nikki, Keith, Lauren, Sarah and Mark (and spouses); and 11 great-grandchildren.

Nama's teaching career spanned four decades starting out in a one room school in Hastings County.

She was a teacher by training and a volunteer by nature - volunteering well into her early 90s.

She delivered Meals on Wheels for many years, taught English to several groups of refugees that came to Lindsay, as well as the Theatre Guild, Ross Memorial Hospital, Wheel Trans and was an active member of Cambridge Street United Church for over 60 years.

Nama was happiest "being on the go," from playing bridge, golf, curling, Fortnightly Book Club, to spending time and entertaining at the much-loved cottage with Frank. Nama will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her, but her spirit will live on.

Deep felt thanks to the staff at Victoria Manor and Adelaide Place for their wonderful kindness, respect and care for mom in her last few years. As one staff member at Victoria Manor said only a few days ago "Nama you make 100 look good!"

A Memorial Service for Nama will take place at Cambridge Street United Church, 61 Cambridge Street North, Lindsay, on Saturday, November 25th, at 1:00 p.m. with a Reception to follow.
