Quick HarryQUICK, Harry Charles - Passed away peaceful surrounded by family on August 28th, 2017 at the age of 76 after battling cancer.

Harry has survived by his son Jason (Christa), daughter Jackie and brother Ted (Sherry).

Predeceased by his wife Shirley Ann Quick (Hull), mother Janna Quick (van Oeveren) and father Charlie Quick, two sisters Earla Standish and Audrey Mahood. Harry will be missed by his two grandchildren Thomas and Victoria and by many nieces and nephews. 

After coming to Canada from Holland at age 13, he joined the Canadian Army as an Engineer. Then worked as a fireman for the City of Peterborough for 25 years before he retired at the age of 50.

Pfaff HaroldPFAFF, Harold Earl 'Bud' - It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Harold Earl ‘Bud’ Pfaff. Dad, brother, uncle and friend, Bud passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon August 27, 2017 at his beautiful Belle-Lea Acres Farm at the age of 93, surrounded by friends and family.

He will be greatly missed by many. His incredible attitude, strength and love of life made him cherished by family and friends; he left a lasting and unforgettable impression on all those he met. He will be long remembered as a persistent and passionate letter writer to local editors.

Harold Bud Pfaff was born in Toronto on October 24, 1923, to William Harold and Vera M. Pfaff. (nee Schweitzer of New Hamburg, Ontario)  He attended Danforth Technical School and Canada Radio College in Toronto. In 1938, at 15, he joined the Toronto Sea Cadets and at 19, joined the Canadian Merchant Marine in WW2 as a Radio Officer.

Dave was educated at Lakefield College, followed by 42 years of faithful service to Quaker Oats of Canada.

A renowned scuba diver, Instructor, and recipient of many aquatic awards. Dave's instructed over 3000 students over his thirty odd year career teaching span. His venues included, Y.MC.A., Trent University, Sir Sandford Fleming College (both in Peterborough and Lindsay), and Trinity College in Port Hope.
