Ken will be sadly missed by many other relatives and friends and especially "Max" the cat. Retired from the Scarborough Board of Education.

On December 23, he would have been 85 years old.

He will be sadly missed by his two fur babies, Chico and Rascal and reunited with his beloved Bichon Bear.

He will be sadly missed by grandchildren Sarah (Nick), Geoff (Suzie), Bryan (Ashleigh), Colin (Colleen), Rebecca, Michael, Charlie, Jack, Becky and Brad (Megan) and his 10 great-grandchildren.

Predeceased by his parents Lewis Watson and Eva (nee McCann).

Jim graduated Queens University in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts and in 1951 with a Bachelor of Physical and Health Education. After working in Montreal and Ottawa he began his career in teaching at PCVS where he taught Phys Ed and Biology.

Son of the late Wellington Hunter and Mabel Nichols and brother of the late Robert (Ferne).


Blake RichardBLAKE, Deacon Richard Christopher - In his 76th year, entered into eternal peace on November 21st, 2017 at PRHC. Richard was born in Hamilton on January 18th, 1942.

He will be sorely missed by Catherine, his loving wife of 47 years, his children, Theresa (Sean), Christine (Dave), Richard (Diana) and grandchildren Eoin, Anna, Claire & Sophie.

Survived by his brother John, brother Larry and sister-in-law Gail. Predeceased by his sister Mary (John), brother Paul (Joyce), and sister-in-law Patricia. Son of the late John and Josephine Blake.

Richard was a Registered Nurse for 27 years at St Joseph's and McMaster Hospitals in Hamilton, Ontario. In 1996, he retired from nursing and embarked on second career in Building Management. Deacon Richard was ordained in 2004 at St. Michael's Cathedral in Toronto and served in Blessed Trinity Church, North York for a number of years before retiring to the Peterborough Diocese. Richard has served for the past 8 years at St. Anne's Parish. His ministry was with the elderly in the nursing homes in Toronto and Peterborough.

Irvine BobIRVINE, Robert Lochead 'Bob' - Passed away peacefully at P.R.H.C., with his family by his side, on Sunday, November 19, 2017, in his 77th year.

Bob enjoyed a rewarding career as a math teacher at Thomas A. Stewart S.S., in Peterborough. Upon his retirement, he was able to dedicate himself to his passion of farming. He was an adored 'Papa' to his grandchildren and a valued mentor to many. He lived his life without regret.

Loved and missed by his wife of 52 years, Gail (nee Shipton), and his children Robin Brown (Paul) of Oakwood and Mark (Wanda Knowlton) of Selwyn.  Beloved Papa to Allison, John and Matthew Brown and Cameron Irvine.


Field NormFIELD, Norman George Victor 'Norm' - CIC, MM, National Order of the Legion of Honour, Chevalier, Loving husband and father, peacefully passed away at home on Sunday, November 19th, 2017 at the age of 92.

Son of the late Sydney and Agens (née Strain), predeceased by his brothers Walter and Allan.

Survived by his beloved wife of 69 years Dorothy (née Clark), his daughter Carol, sons Glenn (Sue), Gary and daughter Sandi (Zsolt), his brothers Donald, Robert, grandchildren Cody and Olivia (Mike) and great-grandchildren Charlie, Adanna and Clarke.

Norm, born in Peterborough 1925, joined the Prince of Wales Rangers in 1942. Decided to go into active service by joining the Canadian Infantry; and later the Calgary Highlanders. Awarded the Military Medal for bravery at Dunkerque, France. Recently, was awarded France's highest honour, National Order of the Legion of Honour, Chevalier.
