Heath JerryHEATH, Gerald Murray 'Jerry' - Peacefully at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Friday, September 9, 2016 in his 83rd year.

Beloved husband of Joan (nee Healey) for 62 years.  Loving father of Michael, Murray (Crystal), Barbara Martin, Donna O’Brien (Rick). Dearly loved Pop of Ryan, Melissa, Wesley, Shawn, Alex and Anthony.

Sadly missed by his brothers-in-law Brian Healey (Dale) and Peter Healey (Ethel) and his cousins Margaret (the late Ray), Leah (the late Bill), Rita (the late Evan). Predeceased by his parents Leslie Heath and Christine Hobbs and his sister Marie.

Born and raised in Toronto, Jerry was transferred to Peterborough in 1959.  He was employed as a construction supervisor with Consumers Gas. 

He had a rewarding career with the company for 38 years.  He enjoyed having lunch with fellow retirees twice a month. 

Jerry was an avid outdoorsman.  He enjoyed fishing, he hunted for 55 years with Red Circle Rod and Gun Club in Apsley.  His greatest joy was spending time at the cottage with family and friends. 

Friends will be received at the Highland Park funeral centre, Peterborough on Tuesday, September 13th from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. with a Memorial  Service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel.  Reception to follow.

In memory of Jerry, donations to the Pro Life or Covenant House  ould be appreciated by the family.
