Beeton JoanBEETON, Joan Agnes - Passed away peacefully on September 14, 2016, in her 82nd year. Joan Beeton at Port Hope, ON.

Beloved wife of John “Jack” Beeton. Much loved mother of Edward “Ed” Beeton (Mary) of Port Hope & Cynthia “Cindy” Scanlon (Mike) of Aurora. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Kevin King (Rhea Kimla), Nicole Beeton (Zane Brown), Stacey Beeton, Gina Waduck (Jamie) and great grandsons Dylan & Kyle Waduck, and Dez Brown.

Sister of the late Jeanne Crust and Marilyn Harrington. Survived by her brothers-in-law William Beeton, Roy Harrington, and Peter Stopp (Anne), nieces and nephews Maija Beeton-Bustanoby, Christopher & Andrew Beeton, Keith Crust, Teresa Patterson, Tracey Buttery and cousins Lois Hanna, Anna Marie Beeton, and Lynda Waterhouse.

Mrs. Beeton was retired from the Durham District School Board as an Administrative Secretary after 28 years. After retirement, Joan enjoyed many years at Chandos Lake and her involvement with the Apsley Seniors ABC Club.

Joan was a family oriented and loving lady who will be missed and remembered by all.

A funeral service will be held at the Hendren funeral homes, Lakefield chapel, Lakefield on Sunday the 18th of September at 2:00 PM, with visitation to commence one hour prior to the service. A reception will follow. Interment in Apsley, for the family at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Durham Dragons Special Hockey.

Sincere thanks are extended to the staff of the Empire Crossing Retirement Home and Hope Street Terrace, both of Port Hope, for their compassion and caring in Joan’s final weeks.
