Welch DwayneWELCH, Dwayne Leo – Peacefully, with his family at his side, at Peterborough Regional Health Centre, on Friday, September 16, 2016. Dwayne of Peterborough, formerly of Marmora, in his 82nd year.

Dwayne was the beloved husband of Betty Lou (Sinclair) for 57 years. Dear father of Kelly (Kelly-Lynne Hagerman), Laura (Maria Turnhout), Marnie (Patrick Moriarty) and Judy (Scott Terrion). 

Loving grandfather of Charlsie (Andrew Hinchey), Darcy (Amanda Harris-Welch), Mattea (Mike McCullough), Eli and Oliver Moriarty, Rachael Terrion (Cam Taylor), and Zachary and Natalie Terrion. Proud great-grandfather of Harrison Hinchey and Esmé Taylor.

Brother of the late Alice, Stewart, Jean, Lyle, Doreen and Gary. Dwayne will be remembered by many other relatives and friends.

Dwayne owned and operated the IGA in Marmora for over 20 years.

He loved life and he loved to visit.  Also loved to spend days fishing on Crowe Lake with his dog ‘Duke’. 

A private family service will be held.  A celebration of life will be held at the Ashburnham funeral home, Peterborough on Sunday, October 30th at 2pm, with visiting from one hour prior - from 1pm - and a reception to follow.  

Donations may be made to the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (LAWS).
