Worthington LouiseWORTHINGTON, Louise Amarens (VanDerLaan) – At the Peterborough Regional Hospital on Sunday, September 25th, 2016 in her 83rd year.

Loving partner of Rod Gauvreau and wife of the late Derek Richard Worthington.

Dear mother of Ian (Lise) Worthington and Amanda Shearer. Grandmother of Mark, Jake and the late Jodie Lynn. Great grandmother of Jason and Jonathan Shearer.

Louise will be missed by Rod's children Doug (Sue) Gauvreau and Debbie Togmus (Allen). Grandchildren Bob (Jenn), Stephen (Cheryl), Michelle (Craig) and great grandchildren Sophia, Jack, Madison, Stephen, Kegan and Kasey. Sister and aunt to many in Holland.

Louise was of strong faith in her Lord and loved attending the Omemee Baptist Church. She was very proud of all her children and was a much loved Omi to the Shearer and Gauvreau grandchildren. She loved her times with family and the famous gatherings down at the lake. Wherever there was a game to be played, Louise could be found and ready to win. Her family was her greatest joy. 

Funeral service to be held in the chapel of the Comstock-Kaye life celebration centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Wednesday September 28th at 1:30 p.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Interment, Rosemount Memorial Gardens.

If desired, in memory of Louise donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
