PUE, Jane Elizabeth (nee Tivy) - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jane Elizabeth Pue (nee Tivy) announces her passing.

Jane passed away peacefully on October 2, 2016, in Port Perry, Ontario, with her loving husband and family by her side.

Born in Peterborough, Ontario to parents Captain Clifford Tivy and Meta (nee Moffat), Jane was the youngest of three. She is survived by her eldest brother, Robert Tivy, and predeceased by brother B. Norman Tivy.

Beloved spouse of Ronald J. Pue, they recently celebrated 60 years of happy marriage.

Residing in Port Perry for the last 20 years, Jane was an active member of the Canterbury Commons community and leaves behind a wide circle of friends.

She was a friend to all and enjoyed weekly golf, euchre, bus trips, and many other social events. Jane never lost touch with her Peterborough roots and would often return to visit cherished friends and family members.

Above all, Jane's joy in life came from spending time with her family and celebrating their milestones. Jane is survived by husband Ron, daughters Janis (Scott) and Sandra, and grandchildren Julia (Gaelan), Derek (Liv), Thomas (Mary), Kirk (Valérie), Charlie, and Deanna (Lee). She was recently thrilled by the arrival of her first great grandchild.

Alongside her immediate family, Jane will be missed by her nieces, nephews and their families, of whom she was very fond.

Jane lived her life with unfailing optimism, generosity of spirit, and kindness; qualities that enriched the lives of all who knew her. She finished the last chapter of the book of her life the same way she lived, surrounded by her beloved family.

A memorial service will be held at the Church of the Ascension, 266 North Street, Port Perry on Thursday, October 6th at 11 am (visitation from one hour prior), followed by a reception at the Canterbury Commons Community Centre from 12 - 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory may be made to the Port Perry Hospital Foundation or the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada - Durham Region.
