Davis GwenDAVIS, Gwendolyn Joyce (née Puffer) - Peacefully, on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Campbellford Memorial Hospital in her 82nd year, surrounded by family and friends.

Loving mother of Sharon Davis (Catherine Cross). Proud Nana Gwen to Ethan and Alyssa Cross.

Dear sister of Sylvia Puffer and Cheryl Pilley (Bob).  Predeceased by her siblings Bernadine, Ron, Elaine and Karen; and her parents Garfield and Verna (née Roberts) Puffer. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gwen was a fiercely loyal Lakers, Petes, Peterborough Girls Hockey Association, and Lakefield Ladies Hockey Association fan.  She was also an enthusiastic Hockey and Softball "Mom" to many.

Gwen grew up on the family farm on Stony Lake and began her employment at Irwin Inn before moving to Peterborough to work at Cherny's and finally making the move to GE where she would spend 46 years, prior to her retirement.  She spoke constantly about the fond memories she had of all her co-workers who became great friends and extended family during her days at the GE.

Gwen spoke often about her days with family and friends on both Stony and Koshabog Lakes and loved to share stories of the many fun times and adventures she experienced with family and friends at her side.

In keeping with Gwen's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at the Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Saturday, December 10th at 3:00 p.m., with visitation from 2:30 - 3:00 p.m.

Donations to Community Care Peterborough or the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Auxiallary would be greatly appreciated by her family.
