Chretien CarolCHRETIEN, Carol (nee Cassidy) - It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Carol Chretien (nee Cassidy). Carol died suddenly on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at PRHC at 72 years of age.

She was born Oct. 5, 1944 in Tweed, ON. She was a registered nurse who graduated from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Peterborough in 1966. Carol resided in Peterborough and worked at Peterborough Civic Hospital until her retirement.

She was predeceased by her father, Raymond Cassidy. She is survived by her mother, Nora Cassidy, husband Gerald Chretien, daughter, Renee Chretien all of Peterborough, and son Nickolas of Vancouver BC, her sisters Lois (Spencer) Tucker of Peterborough, Rita Noble of Florida, brothers James (Bonnie) Cassidy of Peterborough and Thomas Cassidy of Mississauga ON.

Carol had several nieces and nephews and cousins and many many friends who will miss her jolly laughter and great sense of humour.

According to Carol's wishes, her remains were cremated. There will be a private family service at a future date. Carol would be honored if any donations made in her name be made to The Canadian Mental Health Association at CanadaHelps.org.

"Although it is difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory comfort us tomorrow." The memory of a good person is a blessing.
