Agnes lived a full and long life, active with family and friends at Applewood Retirement Residence since December 2013.

Predeceased by husband Cyril Gerard, parents Michael and Mary Mayock and brother Frank; survived by daughter Maureen (Jim Durant), and sons Terry (Ilonca) and Barry (Theresa).

Agnes leaves behind her six beloved grandchildren: Jeff O'Donnell (deceased 2012), Jennie Couchie, Melissa McGlynn, Terry Casserly and Michael, Shannon and Chris O'Donnell. Her extended family and friends range from Ontario to Michigan, Florida and Minnesota, among other places.

In an active life spanning nine decades, Agnes played the pipe organ for daily Masses for almost 36 years (1936 to 1967) at Immaculate Conception Parish where she provided music for hundreds of wedding and funeral celebrations. From 1968 to 1984, Agnes taught for the Peterborough Separate School Board at Sacred Heart, St. Alphonsus, St. Anne's and St. Martin's and was always delighted to encounter former students.

In retirement, Agnes was active visiting family, shopping (!), travelling, playing board games, supporting her favourite charities and - in her last years - enjoying scrabble and evening tea with Eileen Ing and friends and family at Applewood.

The family expresses their sincere thanks, appreciation and admiration for the wonderful care from staff, nurses, PSWs and volunteers at the Heart of Hastings Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, Agnes' family suggests donations to the Heart of Hastings Hospice in Madoc, Ontario, or to a charity of your choice.
